Rush, Roll The Bones,
Words by Neil Peart, Music by Geddy Lee and Lex Lifeson...

Yes, I googled it...
Honestly, never heard of the group...

My lyric:
Quote:
You've got a headache,
And I've got some strange disease.
Don't worry about it!
This pill will set your mind at ease.
It's called Progenitorivox

Austin Lounge Lizards
The Drugs I Need

and the rest of it

It's made by SquabbMerlCo It's a life-enhancing miracle, but there are some things you should know…

It may cause agitation, palpitations, excessive salivation,
Constipation, male lactation, rust-colored urination
Hallucinations, bad vibrations, mild electric shock sensations
But it's worth it for the drugs I need.”

Give mine a try:

Quote:
Who are those little girls in pain
just trapped in castle of dark side of moon
Twelve of them shining bright in vain
like flowers that blossom just once in years

They're dancing in the shadow
like whispers of love
just dreaming of a place
where they're free as dove

They've never been allowed
to love in this cursed cage

(Removed on purpose)

They've never been allowed
to love in this cursed cage

(Removed on purpose)

Track: It's only the Fairy Tale
Performer: Miyamura Yuuko
Composer: Yuki Kajiura

Knowledge: never heard it :-p not a big anime fan tbh.

Heres mine:

Quote:
It was me on that road
But you couldn't see me
Too many lights on, but nowhere near here
It was me on that road
Still you couldn't see me
And then flashligths and explosions

Roads and getting nearer
We cover distance but not together
I am the storm and I am the wonder
And the flashlights, nigthmares
And sudden explosions

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for
I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
And what else is there

Roads and getting nearer
We cover distance still not together
If I am the storm, if I am the wonder
Will I have flashlights, nightmares
And sudden explosions

There is no room I can go and
You've got secrets too

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

Song: What Else Is There - Royksopp

Knowledge: I still know very little about this type of music, for me to really enjoy it, the artist really has to stand out. I'm listening to the song right now, and a few others. Not bad. I think I'd have to be of a mood to listen to it, but it really is good.

Lyrics:

Quote:

He stands touch his hair his shoes untied
Tongue gaping stare
Could I have been a magnet for money?
Could I have been anyone other than me?

Twenty three and so tired of life
Such a shame to throw it all away
The images grow darker still
Could I have been anyone other than me? Then I

I am who I am who I am who am I
Requesting some enlightenment
Could I have been anyone other than me?

Sing and dance I'll play for you tonight
And thrill at it all
Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes
But I'll work it out then I

Look up at the sky
My mouth is open wide, lick and taste
What's the use in worrying, what's the use in hurrying
Turn, turn we almost become dizzy

Dave Matthews Band- Dancing Nancies.

Quote:
(love)love is a verb
Love is a doing word
Feathers on my breath
Gentle impulsion
Shakes me makes me lighter
Feathers on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Feathers on my breath

In the night of matter
Black flowers blossom
Feathers on my breath
Black flowers blossom
Feathers on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Feathers on my breath

Water is my eye
Most faithful my love
Feathers on my breath
Teardrop on the fire of a confession
Feathers on my breath
Most faithful my love
Feathers on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Feathers on my breath

Stumbling a little (x2)

I like this game. No one got what mine was so I'll tell you-
Teardrop by Massive Attack. Here's another:

Quote:
Cos this world swallows souls
And when the blues unfold
It gets cold silence burns holes
You’re going mad
Perhaps you always were
But when things was good you just didn’t care
This is called irony
When you most need to get up you got no energy
Time and time shit’ll happen
The dark shit’s unwrapping
But no-one’s listening your mates are laughing
Your brethren’s ----ing and then you start hating
Your stomach starts churning and you mind starts turning.
So smoke another draw
It won’t matter no more but the next day still feels sore
Rain taps on your window
Always did tho but you didn’t hear it when things were so-so
You’re on your own now
Your little zone you were born alone and believe me you’ll die alone
Weed becomes a chore
You want the buzz back so you follow the others onto smack

Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive

Feels nice and still
Good thing about brown is it always will
It’s easy, no-one blames you
It’s that world out there that’s ----ed you
You know less of a person and if God exists
He still loves you
Just remember that - the more you sink the further back from that brink
Maybe you’ve lifetime scars and you think tattoos might be more fitting
But who’s picking?
Searching for yourself you find demons
Try and be a freeman and grasp that talisman
Cos your the same as I am
We all need our fellow man
We all need our samaritan.
Maybe I’m better looking than you tho
Maybe I’ve got more dough - but am I happier... no.
Get the love of a good girl and your world will be much richer than my world
And your happyness will uncurl

Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive

Stop dreaming
People who say that are blaspheming
They’re doing nine to five and moaning
And they don’t want you succeeding when theyve blown it
And you idols - who are they?
They too dreamt about their day
Positive steps will see your goals.
Whether it’s dollars or control, feel the gold.
I ain’t helping you climb the ladder
I’m busy climbing mine.
That’s how it’s been since the dawn of time
If you reach a cul-de-sac
The world turns it’s back
This is you zone, it’s like blackjack
He might get the ace or the top one
So organise your two’s and three’s into a run then you’ll have ----ed him son
And for that you’ll be the better one
One last thing before you go though
When you feel better tommorow you’ll be a hero
But never forget today. you could be back here
Things can stray
What if you see me in that window?
You won’t help me I know.
That’s cool, just keep walking where you go.
Carry on through the estate, stare at the geezers so they know you ain’t lightweight
And go see your mates
And when they don’t look happy
Play them this tape

Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive

I hope you understand me
Just trying to stay positive
I ain’t no preaching ----er and I ain’t no do-goody-goody either
This is about when shit goes pear-shaped
And if you aren’t or ever have been at rock bottom then good luck to you in the big wide world
But remember that one day shit might just start crumbling
Your bird might ---- off or you might loose your job
It’s when that happens that what I’m talking about will feel much more important to you
So if you ain’t feeling it, just be thankfull that everythings cool in your world
Respect to bc
Positivity
Positivity

Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive
Just trying to stay positive

Stay Positive
by The Streets

not the greatest song but it's ok

Quote:
So here I am
Doin' everything I can
Holdin' on to what I am
Pretendin' I'm a superman

I'm tryin' to keep
The ground on my feet
It seems the world is fallin' down around me
The nights are long
I'm singin' this song
To try and make the answers more than maybe:

Song: Goldfinger - Superman

Knowledge: I've heard it before...I have a friend that is a huge fan. Me...not so much.

New Song:

Quote:
Beyond the suns that guard this roof,
Beyond your flowers of flaming truths,
Beyond your latest ad campaigns,
An old man sits collecting stamps
In a room all filled with Chinese lamps.
He saves what others throw away.
He says that he'll be rich some day.

We know of an ancient radiation
That haunts dismembered constellations,
A faintly glimmering radio station.

We know of an ancient radiation
That haunts dismembered constellations,
A faintly glimmering radio station.
While Frank Sinatra sings Stormy Weather,
The flies and spiders get along together,
Cobwebs fall on an old skipping record.
One of my fav's!

By Cake: Frank Sinatra.
oops. Source: Google, really.

Quote:
Overhead, the albatross
Hangs motionless upon
The air.
And deep beneath the
Rolling waves, in labirynths of
Coral caves,
The Echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand.
And everything is
Green and submarine...

Strangers passing in the street; by chance
two separate glances meet.
And I am you, and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand,
And lead you
Through the land,
and help me understand the best I can?
And no one tells us to move on,
And no one crosses down our eyes,
And no one speaks, and
No one tries -and no one flies
Around the sun...

And through the window
In the wall, Comes streaming in on
Sunlight wings: a million bright
Ambassadors of morning.
And no one sings me a lullaby,
And no one makes me close my eyes,
So I throw the windows wide,
And call to you across the sky...

Great song, Great band. One of my favorites.

Oh and about Coheed and Cambria...Try listening to 'The Suffering'. That's the song that sold me on the band. I really like the bass work in their music, but the guitarists are phenomenal, and the drummer is very talented. Welcome Home, and Ten Speed are also great songs. I've not delved into their earlier stuff yet.... I like them, cause they kinda remind me of the dark side of Rush.

What you said about coheed. Good choice man, good choice. they've been my favorite band going on 4 years now. i've seen them plenty of times live. good apollo is alot different than the other cds. i got hooked off of the first one, so i definitely recommend it. the second one..ehhh it's not AS great as the other two, but it's ok. and good apollo's second on the list. have you read the graphic novel/comics?

EDIT

guy above me-pink floyd, 'echoes'

Quote:
To a chair we see your breath in the air, but only for a little while
Your cold pale skin and tainted purple lips
Let me embrace you with this kiss
And together we'll float like angels
Together... together we will float, like, angels
Higher than the heavens the clouds part ways
'Promise me to never look down!' and we'll stay like this forever
If your stomach feels weak then my work here is done
To hide from our twisted ways, I've been hiding in this bed
Been hiding in this bed for weeks
amazing band, sorry if i did the quote wrong.

Pink Floyd- Echoes. I love that reference with the albatross. That's how I remembered the song.

**EDIT**

Whoops got there before me. Chiodos- The Words 'Best Friend' Become Redefine

Quote:
Oh yeah, all right
Are you going to be in my dreams
Tonight?

And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make.
That's the entire song.

The Beatles-The End
...i believe

Quote:
And not one motion her gesture could I forget,
The prettiest bag lady I ever met...
Pushing her cart in the rain, then gathering plastic and glass
She watched the day pass,
Not hour by hour... but pain by pain.
I was a basket filled with holes, and she was the sand I tried to hold
That ran out behind me as I swung with some invisible hand.

I stopped believing, you start to move
(She was like wine turned to water then turned back to wine)
I stopped my leaving and the better man bloomed
(And you can pour us out and we won't mind)
another amazing band. seen them twice<3>

Me without you - Paper Hanger.

What's with all these emo ish bands. *grumble grumble*

Let's go with something a little more... rough...

Quote:
Et quand le jour arrive
Je deviendrai le ciel
Et je deviendrai la mer

Et la mer viendra m'embrasser
Pour je rentre

Rien ne peut m'arrêter maintenant

(And when the day arrives
I’ll become the sky
And I’ll become the sea

And the sea will come to kiss me
For I am going
Home

Nothing can stop me now)
And yes it's an American band despite the French.

i would hardly call mewithoutYou 'emo-ish'. nor coheed..nor chiodos.

as for your song. i think it's nine inch nails. but i can't remember the name.

Quote:
All alone, and now it feels so hopeless.
With the temporary blood that your draw.
Keep in mind when I'm
Trying to hold this together,
Now you're gone and I'm wasting away...

And No, we can't deny it.
Look in my eyes it's you I confide in,
And now that I am trying,
Words I choke back, we can't deny it...

Your eyes, eyes watching me like a camera.
Overexposure to these kind of days.
And the film, was surreal
As the dream was.
Shooting stars and galactic fates

The fall of troy

I Just Got This Symphony Goin'

My input:

Quote:
Just here I'm not wasting a moment
Something's tellin me where I should go
There's an apple upon my shoulder
And a worm trying to wiggle out
A trespasser fazes me not
I'm a seeker, a seeker of truth
A non-existing reality
Sees me liveing my life passionately

There's a Darkside to everyone
Even when the moon is new
A waning moment seems to pass
The only thing left is what you think of you

It's crystallising fast
Truth and life a brand new mask
Electric visions of lights aglow
Crisp sensations, no limitations

Dark side of the moon. make it a little easier?

Quote:
Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside...
But Baby, You hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song is meant to keep ya
From doing what your supposed to
Like waking up too early
Maybe we can sleep in
Ill make you banana pancakes
Pretend like its the weekend now

And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside

But just maybe, laka ukulele
Mommy made a baby
Really don't mind the practice
Cause your my little lady
Lady lady love me
Cause I love to lay here lazy
We could close the curtains
Pretend like there's no world outside

And we could pretend it all the time
Cant you see that its just raining
Aint no need to go outside
Aint no need aint no need Mmmm MMmmm
Cant you see cant you see
Rain all day
And I don't mind.

Guys, please try to actually participate in the game. Just because you want to post your own lyrics doesn't mean you should ignore the last persons entry. If you can't get the artist and song title you shouldn't be posting your own entry. Also don't forget to let us know if you knew the song already, and whether or not you like/liked it.

Song: Jack Johnson -- Banana Pancakes

Knowledge: Know it, Love it, Listen to it everyday. BIG Jack fan! He is abosolutely amazing. Flake is my favorite song by Jack Johnson. The freaking bridge is so cool! The thing I like most about him, is the variation he puts into his fairly restrictive style. He is just about the only artist that could put a whole show on by himself and leave the audience stunned and wanting more.

New Song:

Quote:
I never ever can contribute

To finding all the faults that sustain

Never mind the answers

To who spreads the cancer

When the questioning of why remains

I'd love to sit and rationalize

But my tongue's become dry

It seems I'm losing ground

Welcome all to my disciplined breakdown

Breakdown Reality

Breakdown my ability to get it back

Breakdown honestly

Breakdown now deliver me

From all this madness and all this agony
This is one of my Favorite groups! They also tend to put alot of variation into their music! I'd call them a progressive Rock band, but I'm not sure how they'd classify themselves.

Coheed and Cambira isn't Emo, they're Progressive Rock.

Cake, and Better than Ezra = Indie Rock.

Collective Soul-Disciplined Breakdown

I don't know much of them, but i have heard that song i have it on limewire, and i must say i like what i hear, i may check them out some more.

Quote:
They stand to fight for nothing.
We show how stupid we've become.
As fortune favours only,
those who care to much to see.

Oh, it will never be okay,
as some will say.
We stand to fight for nothing,
so close your eyes and stay away.
Don't believe their headlines
they poison our minds, everyday

Oh it will never be the same,
If purpose buried everyday.
The lies that lead you into the grave.
As some will say.
